The first annual Softball Benefit was held on May 24th & 25th, 2008.  Spectators and players came from different parts of the country in an effort to raise money for a family in need.  Without any expectations, a total of $8,000 dollars was raised that weekend!  All of the proceeds went to a family from Arkansas that had accrued large medical expenses due to an on-going illness.  While only a drop in the bucket, the family was greatful for the financial support received along with the notion that others were thinking of them.  We pray God's continued care and blessing on them as they await the return of Jesus.
