They are a family of five, whose father was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 when it was discovered he had a large tumor in his sinus area, next to the brain.  He began radiation treatment in Toronto to shrink the tumor. Over this time, he suffered from several severe headaches and seizures because of the tumor’s location and size. Fortunately the tumor began shrinking, but the doctors discovered that he actually has Multiple Myeloma, which is a blood cancer developing in the bone.  About 1% of discovered cancers are of this type.  He is now receiving chemotherapy and his blood is being harvested for a transplant scheduled later this summer. Due to his treatments, he has been unable to continue working. This has caused a financial hardship and added stress to their situation. His wife has worked two jobs for years, one being a family run business that their three daughters help with as they try to help make ends meet. Recently, as a result of her own health issues, she was required to take time off due to stress on her doctor’s orders. It may be difficult to understand the daily struggles this family has to endure, so we are asking everyone to pray for them and generously donate what you can to help in some way lighten the burden they experiencing.
